This short guide explains how to use Ready for print: you’ll choose where you print (EU/US), the paper size, a small bleed if needed, whether to keep the whole image or fill the page, and the file format. That’s it — Pixweave will export a 300 DPI CMYK file with the right color profile.
Drop your image, choose ×2 or ×4 to upscale — or ×1 if your image is already big enough.
Select Region (EU/US), Paper (A4 / Postcard; A3 in Studio), add Bleed if your print shop asks, and choose Fit or Fill.
Pick TIFF (best quality) or JPEG (smaller size). Pixweave embeds the right ICC profile and 300 DPI. Download and send to your print shop.
Choose where you print: EU uses the FOGRA39 profile; US uses SWOP. This helps colors look right on paper. If you’re not sure, pick the region of your print shop.
A4 is a classic document size. Postcard matches common postcard dimensions (EU A6 or US 6×4″). Studio adds A3 for larger prints.
A tiny margin that extends your art beyond the edge — it’s trimmed off after printing. If your print shop mentions bleed, 3 mm is a common choice. If they don’t, choose 0 mm.
Fit keeps the whole image — there may be small borders. Fill fills the page edge-to-edge — the image may be slightly cropped.
TIFF — highest quality, great for print shops.
JPEG — smaller file, still print-friendly.
Both export at 300 DPI CMYK with the ICC profile embedded.
Upscale improves clarity before print. Use ×1 if your original is already large or you only need color/profile setup for the press.
If they have a preferred profile or bleed, use that. Otherwise the defaults in Pixweave work great.
Want to keep everything? Choose Fit. Want full-bleed edge-to-edge? Choose Fill.
